Chief Instructor Michael Baron has been training in Iaido for 10 years, and was a close student of the late Mitsunari Kanai Shihan.
We study mainly Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido, but also teach a comprehensive body of Iaido including Omori Ryu, Shindo Munen Ryu,Hosoda Ryu, Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu, Toyama Ryu.
"Iaido is the art of drawing the sword and cutting in a single move. It dates back to feudal Japan and appears to have been structured by Jinsuke Hayashizaki in the XVIth century. Iaido is practiced in the form of katas (sequence of codified moves)."
